Rob Morris had already created a couple of ranges designed around hearts with a twist. The first had hearts with hammered designs into them… the second was quirkier – each heart had a bite taken out of it, because as we know… love bites! Hearts are an immensely popular design in jewellery, and Rob decided he would like to make his own take on the classic heart shape, but simple and tactile. The result was Ador, a range of exquisitely polished hearts in gold and silver. For some of the pieces, Rob decided to use both metals to complement each other in one piece. The hearts themselves although small have a satisfyingly chunky and voluptuous quality, with a perfectly smooth shiny finish. The beautifully rounded lines finish up in a polished point. Even the small stud earrings have a lovely three-dimensional quality – a heart bursting with love!
Like with Rob’s Starfish range, he has combined the largest version of the heart with the smallest into a pendant. You can have silver with a silver baby, or silver with a gold baby – which is the most popular. Also, as in the Stack Ring range, you can have a ring all in silver, or a silver shank with a gold heart… and it’s possible to wear two heart rings together as they fit top ‘n’ tail. Rob’s also made sure the Ador rings can be mixed with Stack rings too – the gold version of Ador with a garnet Stack Ring in a gold mount looks absolutely gorgeous. If you’re going for a full blingy effect, you can wear up to four rings from both ranges for an unmissable combination!
Although Rob originally created the range for Valentine’s Day, it’s proved an enduring design, loved all year round and suitable for any occasion.
